Andriy Shevchenko, the former AC Milan ace and now the Chelsea striker has married his girlfriend of two-year standing, a US fashion model of eastern European origin Kristen Pazik on July 14th, 2004. The wedding took place on a golf course in Washington DC and was attended by his close pals. Andriy Shevchenko met the dazzling fashion model during a party hosted by a renowned fashion designer Georgio Armani in 2002. The couple usually speak with each other in Italian and Andriy Shevchenko made it known that he is keen to learn English.

Georgio Armani is a close friend of both the footballer and the fashion model. The couple walked the ramp for his designer outfits and frequently featured in his ad campaigns. Andriy Shevchenko has also teamed up with his friend Georgio Armani and opened up a couple of boutiques in Kiev, his native place in Ukraine.

The couple has been blessed with two sons. The elder Jordan born on October 29th, 2004 was named after the NBA legend Michael Jordan and the youngest named Christian was born on November 10th, 2006. The couple wishes to raise their kids in an English-cultural environment and so plans to settle in US for good.
