Andriy Shevchenko, the amazing striker may not be as great as Ronaldinho, Cristiano Ronaldo or Kaka, but he is definitely a player of caliber to reckon with. His character and work ethics have come in for much praise in the world of football. His vision, strategies and quick-decision makings have all stood him in good stead on the field. His team spirit is quite laudable in that he puts the interests of the team above his personal ones. Despite his attacking prowess he creates opportunities for his teammates when the need arises and allow them to score. This quality has endeared him to his teammates for whichever team or club he played.
Thirty-year-old Andriy Shevchenko, the stunning forward became the second highest leading goal scorer of all time in European club competitions and for AC Milan where he played for seven years from 1999 to 2006. He also won the European Footballer of the Year award in 2004. Besides Shevchenko was chosen by football legend Pele as one among the top 125 greatest living footballers in 2004. A constant learner and hard-working footballer, Andriy Shevchenko has always welcomed constructive criticism of his performances and tried to correct himself.
